Tara’s Tango, the recently retired half-sister to Lammerskraal’s exciting young sire Visionaire, has been pencilled in to visit Darley’s leading sire Medaglia D’Oro in her first season at stud in 2017.
A daughter of Unbridled’s Song and the outstanding French Deputy mare Scarlet Tango, Tara’s Tango earned more than $800 000 during her career which saw her win or placed in ten of just 14 outings.
She scored the biggest win of her career when accounting for G1 winner Taris in the 2016 G1 Santa Margarita Stakes.
Her half-brother Visionaire was recently represented by his 35th individual South African first crop winner when his son Thunder Applause won over 1600m at the Vaal on Thursday.
South Africa’s Leading First Crop Sire of 2014-2015, Visionaire (a grandson of Gone West) has been represented by more winners this season thus far than such top class sires as Elusive Fort, Jet Master, Querari and Judpot.
