Icy Air daughter wins again

Lammerskraal Stud are the owner-breeders of the progressive three-year-old filly Perfect Air.
The latter made it back to back wins when scoring over 1600m at Scottsville on Sunday for trainer Dennis Drier and jockey Sean Veale.

A facile, two and a quarter length maiden winner at her previous outing, Perfect Air made it win number two from just four starts when recording a three-parts of a length win over the weekend.

The filly is a daughter of Dynasty and Lammerskraal Stud’s remarkable mare Icy Air.

The latter, South Africa’s Equus Champion Classic 3YO Female in 2002, is also dam of this season’s very promising 2yo gelding Russet Air. A son of What A Winter, Russet Air broke his maiden in taking style on just his second outing and the Candice Bass-Robinson trained gelding looks a smart sort in the making.

Icy Air, whose nine wins included both the SA Fillies Classic and Woolavington 2000 (both now G1 races), is the dam of seven winners to date –headed by exported G2 Premier Trophy winner Icy Trail (by Go Deputy).

Perfect Air is bred on the same Dynasty/Jallad cross as G1 Investec Cape Derby winners Eyes Wide Open and It’s My Turn.
