Lammerskraal shine at Two Year Old Sale

Lammerskraal Stud enjoyed notable success at the 2018 National Two Year Old Sale, which took place at the TBA complex last week on Thursday and Friday.

Lammerskraal, who ended the sale as fifth leading vendor by aggregate, was the Leading Vendor by Aggregate at the National Two Year Old Sale.
The Ceres based farm sold six lots to gross more than R1 810 000, with Lammerskraal’s two-year-olds averaging R362 000.

Lammerskraal were responsible for two of the top three lots sold, with the farm’s Gimmethegreenlight filly Field Maiden (Lot 245) fetching R700 000 and the farm’s Wylie Hall filly Wylie Wench (Lot 238) making R600 000.

The beautifully bred Field Maiden, who is out of the Western Winter sired G1 Empress Club Stakes winner Fair Maiden, was sold to Heywood Bloodstock, while Varsfontein Stud snapped up Wylie Wench –a daughter of Equus Champion Enchantress and half-sister to Equus Champion Laverna.
