Lammerskraal Stud’s exciting new sire Visionaire is set to cover a stellar book of mares during his first Cape breeding season.
The Gr1 winning son of Grand Slam’s top class mates for this season will include none other than former Broodmare Of The Year Sunshine Lover (Badger Land).

The latter made history when producing a pair of Gr1 Cape Fillies Guineas winners in Captain’s Lover and Ebony Flyer, and Sunshine Lover ranks among the best South African broodmares of recent years.

Former Leading First Crop Sire Visionaire has made a cracking start to his stud career. Visionaire’s first South African crop has, to date, produced more than 30 individual winners, headed by G2 Gauteng Fillies Guineas winner Heaps Of Fun, G3 Strelitzia Stakes victress Royal Pleasure, and the graded stakes performers Lala and Vilikazi.

His second South African crop has also made a pleasing impression –with Visionaire’s current 3yos including the promising G1 colt Africa Rising, G1 filly Visuality, and smart debut winners Aggressive, Comme-Ci-Comme-Ca, Supreme Vision and The Thinker.

Visionaire will stand his first Cape season at a stud fee of R40 000.
