There have already been a number of classy and blue blooded foals to arrive at Lammerskraal this season –which surely bodes well for the season ahead!
Lammerskraal’s first foals include a filly from the first crop of former Equus Champion 2YO Colt Soft Falling Rain.

This lovely chestnut filly is out of three time winning Western Winter mare Rockaberry Lane- a full sister to dual Guineas winner Solo Traveller and to Fillies Guineas runner up Strawberry Ice. The latter is the dam of the now Team Valor Flying Ice (by Go Deputy), who won the G2 Gold Bracelet last season.
Another lovely foal by a new sire is this Wylie Hall filly. She is out of the blue blooded Western Winter mare Savannah Air whose Elliodor sired dam Burnt Savannah (an own sister to G3 winner Ivor Thirst and half sister to G2 November Handicap hero Likeithot) finished second in the G3 Southern Cross Stakes.
Lammerskraal have also seen some cracking colt foals arrive. They include a lovely What A Winter colt out of Go Deputy’s outstanding daughter Adobe Pink. A half sister to the G1 winners Nania and Red Ray, Adobe Pink won six times, with her victories including a hatrick of feature race wins –the Listed Sun Classique Handicap, Listed East Coast Handicap and the Listed Queen Palm Handicap.

Another smashing colt foal born at Lammerskraal this season is this Judpot son of La Belle Helene- a dual winning own sister to ill-fated G2 Umkhomazi Stakes hero Buran and to G1 Thekwini Stakes runner up Ice Belle. The beautifully bred La Belle Helene (a daughter of Western Winter and G2 Majorca Stakes heroine Trojan Belle) is also a half sister to Go Deputy’s East Cape champion Gogetthesheriff.
