Deputy Ryder to stud

Go Deputy’s top class daughter Deputy Ryder has been retired to stud. She will visit triple Equus Champion What A Winter in her first season at stud.
The four-year-old filly, who was bred by Lammerskraal, has been a wonderful servant to owner Four Legs Racing and also yet another superb flagbearer for her sensational sire.

From 18 outings, Deputy Ryder won or placed 12 times, and earned over R480 000. Her victories included this season’s Listed East Coast Cup, while she also won the Listed Queen Palm Stakes back in 2015.

She also placed in both the G3 Track And Ball Oaks (third) and most recently third in the G2 Gold Bracelet.

Deputy Ryder is one of three stakes winners produced by the five time winning Red Ryder mare Miss Ryder, with the latter’s other notable performers including G2 OK Grand Challenge hero Weston Paint (by Western Winter), and stakes winner and Oaks runner up Winona (by Rakeen). Miss Ryder is also the granddam of former G2 KRA Fillies Guineas winner Alexis, who also won last season’s G2 Tibouchina Stakes.
