Lammerskraal’s exciting new sire Visionaire had an eye catching debut winner at the Vaal on Thursday when his 2yo daughter Comme-Ci-Comme-Ca won for trainer Roy Magner.
Bred by the Summerhill Stud, Comme-Ci-Comme-Ca was backed down into 15-4 and she duly obliged beating another fancied first timer French Legend into second. She was one of two winners on the day for her sire, whose son Streetwear won the last race on the card.
Her sire, Visionaire, could have another big weekend ahead of him –his sons, Vilikazi and Jet Air, are both fancied runners in Saturday’s G3 Winter Derby and could well give their exciting young sire yet another boost!
Top class galloper Visionaire, a former Leading First Crop Sire in South Africa, has got a hugely promising crop of 2yos to his credit this season.
Visionaire’s top juveniles this season include the G1 filly Visuality, the above mentioned debut winner, and G3 filly Secret Vision, among others.
Winner of the G1 King’s Bishop Stakes, Visionaire will stand for a fee of R40 000 in 2016 when he is expected to cover a top class book of mares.
