Lammerskraal look to have bred a really smart filly in the form of In The Dance. The latter defied a slow start when making an impressive winning debut over 1160m at Turffontein on Saturday for trainer Sean Tarry and jockey S’Manga Khumalo.

The 3yo In The Dance outclassed her ten rivals to win as she liked by three and a half lengths for her owner-breeders Lammerskraal Stud.

A daughter of G1 L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate winner and rising sire star Gimmethegreenlight, In The Dance is an eighth winner for Lammerskraal’s Broodmare Of The Year Akinfeet.

The latter, whose progeny include Equus Champion and triple G1 winner Capetown Noir as well as stakes performers Across The Ice, Maxixe and Premier Dance, has been pencilled in to visit in 2018 Lammerskraal’s successful sire Visionaire –whose son Africa Rising scored for a fifth time at Turffontein on Saturday.
