Lammerskraal Stud have made a great start to the 2018-2019 racing season and the Ceres farm look to have bred another smart sort in the form of Perfect Air.
The latter, a regally bred four-year-old who is bred and owned by Lammerskraal, made it three wins on the bounce when running out a two length winner over 1400m at Greyville on Sunday.
Perfect Air, trained by Dennis Drier and ridden to victory by Sean Veale, has now won three of only five outings and looks to a be progressive filly with a bright future ahead of her.
Already established as an exciting future broodmare prospect, Perfect Air is a product of Equus Champions Dynasty and Icy Air.
The latter, who shares her sire Jallad with Lammerskraal’s newly crowned Broodmare Of The Year Strawberry Lane, was South Africa’s Equus Champion 3YO Classic Female of 2002, with her nine wins including both the G2 SA and Gold Circle Oaks, as well as the (now G1) G2 Woolavington 2000 and SA Fillies Classic.
Perfect Air. bred on the same Dynasty/Jallad cross as G1 winners Liege, Eyes Wide Open and It’s My Turn, is one of seven winners produced by Icy Air, whose G2 Premier Trophy winning son Icy Trail (by Go Deputy) was exported to Dubai.
