Two in a row for Visionaire son

Lammerskraal’s exciting new sire Visionaire has been enjoying a tremendous run of success lately, and he looks to have a good sort to his credit in the form of Breakfast Club.
The latter, who is trained by Dennis Drier, made it two wins in a row when easily accounting for a useful field over 1400m at Greyville on Wednesday, and this smart looking gelding looks one to keep an eye on.

Breakfast Club, who is out of the Rich Man’s Gold mare L’Orange, is currently unbeaten on polytrack, having won both his starts on the surface.

The gelding has done precious little wrong in his brief career thus far –Breakfast Club having finished in the first two in three of his four career starts, and he should not stop here.

Wednesday’s winner hails from his Grade One winning sire’s first crop, with Visionaire’s first South African crop also responsible for G2 Gauteng Fillies Guineas winner Heaps Of Fun, G3 Strelitizia Stakes winner Royal Pleasure, and G3 Flamboyant Stakes runner up Lala.

Visionaire’s second local crop also looks promising, with his current juveniles including the Grade One filly Visuality, as well as impressive debut winners Africa Rising and Comme-Ci-Comme-Ca.

He will stand for a fee of R40 000 this season.
