Visionaire daughter tops Mare Sale

Visionaire daughter tops Mare Sale

A daughter of Lammerskraal Stud’s increasingly successful stallion Visionaire was the top lot sold at Monday’s KZN Mare Sale, which took place at the Yellow Star Stud.
Visionaire’s five-year-old daughter Mulher De Branco, selling as a Filly For Stud, was knocked down to Riethuiskraal Stud for R160  000 to top the one day auction.

The well related grey, a half-sister to R2 million earner No Worries, won four times over 1600m and looks an exciting prospect.

Her G1 King’s Bishop Stakes winning sire Visionaire has done extremely well since standing at stud in South Africa.
The country’s Leading First Crop Sire of 2014-2015 and the country’s Leading Second Crop Sire a year later, Visionaire has been represented by at least one graded stakes winner in each of his first three local crops to race.

His best runners include G1 Wilgerbosdrift SA Fillies Classic winner Takingthepeace, and fellow graded stakes winners Africa Rising, Heaps Of Fun, Royal Pleasure and The Thinker.

Visionaire went close to having yet another big race winner when his talented 2yo son Mr Bombastic ran second, beaten just a neck, in Saturday’s KZN Yearling Sale Million at Greyville on Saturday.
