Lammerskraal’s promising sire Visionaire enjoyed another good weekend when represented by a pair of winners on Friday and Sunday.
His son At Long Last made it two wins from his past three outings when he scored for trainer Andre Nel and owner Sabine Plattner at Greyville on Friday night.
The consistent four-year-old has done nothing wrong lately and was rewarded for consistency with a one length score over 1900m for breeders Summerhill Stud.
Visionaire’s second winner of the weekend came when red hot favourite Midnight Man won going away for trainer Mike Miller and jockey Anton Marcus.
Second two starts back, Midnight Man came with a late rattle to score by half a length, breaking his duck over 1400m in the process.
Visionaire was a top class racehorse, whose wins included the G1 King’s Bishop Stakes –a race also won by such outstanding stallions as More Than Ready, Hard Spun and Tale Of The Cat.
The King’s Bishop was also won by champion sprinters Housebuster, Runhappy and Drefong –placing VIsionaire is some very high class company indeed.
