Lammerskraal’s young sire Visionaire looks to have a really decent sort on his hands in the form of the Sean Tarry trained Africa Rising.
The latter made it win number two, from just four outings, when landing a competitive looking graduation plate at the Vaal on Thursday and looks on course for a possible tilt at the G2 Dingaans in November.
Bred by Summerhill Stud, and owned by Chris Van Niekerk and Portapa (Pty) Ltd, Africa Rising had won a good race on debut before running fourth next time out in the G1 Premier’s Champion Stakes.
His sire Visionaire, whose first local crop included G2 Fillies Guineas winner Heaps Of Fun as well as G3 Streltizia Stakes heroine Royal Pleasure, has a number of really eye catching 3yos to his credit this season.
They include the above mentioned Africa Rising, G1 filly Visuality and Aggressive-who is unbeaten in two starts to date.
