Lammerskraal’s successful resident sire Visionaire is the sire of high-class racemare Lala, who made it win number seven when victorious at Greyville on Wednesday.
Trained by Doug Campbell and bred by the Summerhill Stud, Lala romped to a two and a half length win in a pinnacle stakes over a mile to take her earnings to over R600 000 in prize money.
The talented chestnut five-year-old, who was second in the 2016 G3 Flamboyant Stakes, was a R200 000 buy from the 2014 National Yearling Sale.
Her G1 King’s Bishop Stakes winning sire Visionaire has enjoyed another good season this year, with his runners in 2017 including G2 World Sports Betting Merchants winner The Thinker.
Visionaire has some exceptional foals on the ground this year, with the son of Grand Slam responsible for foals out of such high-class racemares/producers as Sweet Virginia, the regally bred Ventura, and Berlinetta.
