Lammerskraal Stud’s exciting sire Visionaire’s runners are nominated for no fewer than four KZN Breeders Awards, it was recently announced.
His talented son Africa Rising, winner of last season’s G3 Byerley Turk, has been nominated for Outstanding 3YO Colt and Outstanding Sprinter Male. Placed in the G1 Premiers Champion Stakes at two and runner up in the Emperors Palace Ready To Run Cup at three, Africa Rising has banked over R800 000 in prize money
Africa Rising’s paternal half-sister Visuality is also up for two possible awards, with the filly nominated for Outstanding 3YO Filly and Outstanding Sprinter Female. She won the KwaZulu-Natal Breeders 1200m and was a close second in the G3 Three Troikas Stakes last season.
Both Africa Rising and Visuality are trained by Sean Tarry, with Africa Rising being bred by Summerhill and Visuality by Rotheson Stud respectively.
The KZN Breeders Awards will take place on December 2nd.
Former King’s Bishop Stakes winner Visionaire had yet another winner when his son Founding Father picked up his third win, from just ten outings, for trainer Dennis Bosch at Greyville on Sunday.
