Visionaire strongly represented on Charity Mile Day

Lammerskraal Stud’s exciting new sire Visionaire could be in for a good weekend, with the handsome son of Grand Slam strongly represented at Turffontein on Charity Mile day this Saturday.

Visionaire has no fewer than five runners entered in the rich, R2.5 million Emperors Palace Ready To Run Cup run over 1400m.
His Cup runners are last season’s G1 2yo Africa Rising, debut winner The Thinker, recent winner Copper Pot, top class filly Visuality (who has already been placed in a multitude of features), and Comme-Ci-Comme-Ca. The latter has won two of her outings for trainer Roy Magner.

However, the Ready To Run Cup is not the only major feature in which Visionaire is well represented. The chestnut also has the undefeated Aggressive in the G3 Graham Beck Stakes, and the latter should run well from a good draw of three.

Former leading first crop sire Visionaire made an instant impression with his first crop of runners including Fillies Guineas winner Heaps Of Fun and the very quick G3 winner Royal Pleasure. The Gone West grandson stands the 2016 for a stud fee of R40 000.

Visionaire will be represented by no fewer than 29 lots at the upcoming CTS Johannesburg Ready To Run Sale, with his draft including:

Lot 65 –a colt from the same family as Australian classic winner Faint Perfume

Lot 78 –a filly whose dam is a half sister to top class fillies Fairyinthewoods (also by a Gone West line sire) and Comet Chaser

Lot 121 –a filly out of the G1 placed mare Lisa Anne

Lot 139 –a half brother to G3 performer Pej

Lot 153 –a half brother to top class G1 filly Intergalactic

Lot 167 –a full brother to G1 filly Visuality (and three parts brother to Heaps Of Fun)
