Premier Dance remains undefeated

The Lammerskraal Stud bred filly Premier Dance impressed when scoring a good win over 1200m at Kenilworth on Wednesday to maintain her undefeated record.
Owned by Mike Rattray, the Silvano sired three-year-old (who provided trainer Dennis Drier with his first winner of his new Cape campaign) ran on smartly to make it two wins from as many outings when accounting for Trippi’s Girl by three parts of a length.

It was another 4.25 lengths away to Hanabi back in third, with the winner stopping the clock in a fast time of 71.98.

Clearly looking for more ground, Premier Dance is held in high regard by connections –and a tilt at the G1 Cape Fillies Guineas could well be on the cards for this superbly bred filly.

Well and truly bred to be anything, Wednesday’s winner has a classic pedigree.

A daughter of former champion sire Silvano (sire of former Cape Fillies Guineas winners Field Flower and Silver Mountain), Premier Dance is out of former Broodmare Of The Year Akinfeet.

Akinfeet, who is set to visit Lammerskraal’s exciting new sire Visionaire in 2016, is dam of former Equus Champion and young KZN sire Capetown Noir, as well as G3 August Stakes winning millionaire Across The Ice.
