The Lammerskraal Stud bred Bulleting Home put up an impressive display when romping home to score a first feature race win in Friday night’s G3 Kings Cup at Greyville.
Settled off the pace, Bulleting Home quickened up powerfully when asked the question by Keagan De Melo and went on to score an emphatic 3.75 length in the 1600m contest.
Owned by Mike and Norma Rattray, Bulleting Home was making his polytrack debut –and clearly enjoyed it. The five-year-old Bulleting Home has now won six races from 1450-1600m and has banked more than R700 000 in stakes.
He was one of five feature race winners for champion trainer Sean Tarry this weekend, with Sean saddling a remarkable seven winners at Turffontein the following day.
A son of Lammerskraal’s former champion sire Western Winter, Bulleting Home is out of the latter’s Lion Hearted half-sister Kapen Cat.
Bulleting Home, a first stakes winner for his dam, is one of three winners produced by Kapen Cat, whose daughter Savannah Cat was the top lot sold at the 2015 National Yearling Sale.
He is the 85th stakes winner for Western Winter, whose champion son What A Winter is South Africa’s Leading First Crop Sire this season.
