Lammerskraal Stud’s exciting sire Visionaire looks to have a smart sort on his hands in the form of The Thinker.

That Johan Janse Van Vuuren trained colt made it three wins from just five outings when sauntering home to an easy one and a quarter length win at Turffontein on Tuesday afternoon.

Bred by Summerhill Stud, and owned by Mayfair Speculators, sophomore The Thinker was a R180 000 buy from the 2015 Johannesburg Ready To Run Sale.

He is bred on the same Visionaire/Northern Guest cross as Fillies Guineas winner Heaps Of Fun, who is set to contest Saturday’s G3 Sycamore Sprint at Turffontein.

Visionaire has enjoyed a good patch of success lately, with his recent winners including easy debut winner Real Vision, with that two-year-old having scored by five and a half lengths first time out recently.

The G1 winning son of Grand Slam has 16 lots on the upcoming National Yearling Sale and a further 10 yearlings on the Emperors Palace Select Yearling Sale in April.
