Lammerskraal Stud’s exciting new sire Visionaire is covering an exceptional book of mares in his first Cape season this year.

Not only is the former G1 King’s Bishop Stakes winner set to cover 2010-2011 Broodmare Of The Year Sunshine Lover, but he will also cover 2013 Broodmare Of The Year Akinfeet.

The latter, a classic placed daughter of Fort Wood and Cape Fillies Guineas winner Dance Every Dance (Northern Guest), is the dam of former Equus Champion Capetown Noir, whose first foals have arrived to rave reviews this season!

Other top class broodmares set to visit Visionaire in 2016 include Bardot (dam of G1 Woolavington 2000 winner Viva Maria and G2 Camellia Stakes winner Bichette), Enchantress (Equus Champion and dam of Equus Champion 2YO Filly Laverna), Eris (a half sister to Horse Of The Year Yard-Arm), former G1 Empress Club Stakes winner Fair Maiden, French Sun (dam of G2 winner Chant De Nuit), Equus Champion Icy Air, Kapen Cat (a half sister to multiple champion sire Western Winter), and the uber tough race mare Sweet Virginia.

The latter, whose 3 graded wins included both the G3 Winter Classic and G3 Winter Derby, has already thrown a smart performer to the cover of Visionaire, in the form of G3 performer Vilikazi.

Former leading first crop sire Visionaire has some cracking three-year-olds to his credit this season, including proven G1 performers Africa Rising and Visuality, and he looks poised for even bigger and better things in the future!
